The Salyers MAT1S is a dual-purpose stick/mallet combination. The tip end is identical to the MAT1 - the best combination of stick and mallet. The butt end is a large felt ball for more subtle moments, but still producing the articulation necessary. The sticks are constructed of the highest quality hickory and features a taper much like a snare drum stick. The nylon tip is round with a thin band as a playing zone, providing maximum articulation while still allowing the ease of rebounding over rims and moving from drum to drum.
